Taste Supper Club At Oak House Bruton

If you haven’t visited our Taste Supper Club at Oak House yet then you are missing out on an evening of delicious food from the chefs who produce our amazing dishes for our catering business.

The Supper Club was born out of a request for a chance for everyone to try our cooking and as a tribute to Denise and Martin’s previous much-loved restaurant Truffles down the road in Bruton which they ran before moving on to Oak House and full time wedding and event catering.

The Supper Club chefs select the monthly menu to show case the best produce our local artisan makers, butchers and growers have to offer. For one night a month we open the doors of Oak House Bruton to our regular Supper Club members and new guests alike for a night of tasty treats with their family and friends.

With a choice of three dishes for each course you are sure to find something you will love. The Supper Club is two courses for £30 or three courses for £35 and you can bring anything you would like to drink for £3.50 per person. You will always see our Somerset Rib Eye on the menu which is definitely a crowd favourite!

So if you are staying at Oak House accommodation on one of our upcoming dates you are in luck – you don’t have to go far for a delicious dinner! And if you’re not why not book a stay for a special occasion and treat your loved one to a mini break in Bruton? Be our guest!

A Break At Oak House To Visit The Newt In Somerset

As if we didn’t have enough reasons to visit beautiful Bruton we are now lucky enough to be on the doorstep of newly opened The Newt in Somerset – a 300 acre estate to mirror the world-renowned Babylonstoren in South Africa.

This recently launched project is situated between us and the neighbouring town of Castle Cary and is just a short ten minute drive from Oak House bed and breakfast. With a staggered opening before the advancement of their country house later in the year, you can now head over to explore the extensive woods and gardens.

Well known to all residents of Bruton - the estate was once the seat of the Hobhouse family for more than two centuries. Now the doors are open to the public once again for a thoroughly Somerset experience.

Take a ramble through the gardens and visit the restaurant and farm shop for something tasty. With a state of the art cider press and a selection of routed walks could there be a more perfect way to spend a day in the countryside? We can’t wait to see the rest of the project as more areas of the estate unfold.

So book Oak House for a mid-week break or weekend adventure in Bruton and stay in style in our contemporary accommodation! There’s so much to see!
