Stay at Oak House and learn how to run your own flower business

We had some lovely guests staying at the weekend who not only enjoyed our hospitality at Oak House and great local restaurants in Bruton, but also learnt how to set up, plant and run their own flower garden business with our friend Georgie Newby at Common Farm Flowers in nearby Charlton Musgrove.

They spent the day on Saturday on the ‘Flower Farming for Beginners Workshop‘ and came back inspired and passionate about their new project which they hope to set up in the near future. It is always so interesting to chat to our guests at breakfast and hear the really interesting things that they have been doing whilst staying with us.

Georgie offers lots of great workshops throughout the year and a days course combined with a weekend or midweek stay at Oak House, Bruton can make a great Birthday or Christmas present. Plus we are just a ten minute walk from the Piet Oudolf perennial meadow at Hauser and Wirth – a must see for anyone with a passion for flowers.

We have just launched our new gift vouchers which give either a one or two night accommodation package at Oak House, Bruton with our delicious Somerset buffet breakfast each morning and a bottle of Prosecco in the room on arrival. So if you are looking to buy someone you love something special for a forthcoming celebration this could be just thing that you have been looking for.

If we fail to re let the room then the deposit will be retained in full. – If the cancellation occurs 48hours or less prior to the booking then the guest will be liable for the booking in full.

– Any non-arrival will mean that the guest will be liable in full for the booking.

We take all bookings in good faith, as we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival, guests are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made with Oak House, Bruton forms a legally binding contract. For this reason we advise that you take out a suitableTravel insurance policy to cover against cancellation fees.
