New website launch

This morning we launch our new website for Oak House and we hope that you all enjoy looking at the new photographs and more contemporary look and feel to the whole site.

We will be launching on-line booking and a real-time availability search shortly to the site, so for those of you short on time or sitting on the train planing your visit, you will be able to look and book straight away. For those that prefer to speak to Martin or myself, or have any special requirements – we are always available on the telephone or by email.

Martin is busy today making our delicious chocolate brownies for guests arriving later and if you want to know the secret to how to make your brownies really gooey and ultra yummy, keep reading the blog as we plan to let you into a few of our secrets along the way.

Cancellation Policy

We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially as we have probably turned away bookings in favour of someone who has already booked, who then cancels.

In the event of any cancellation we will try and re let the room.

– For cancellations more than 48hrs ahead of the booking: If we are successful in re- letting the room we will refund any deposit paid less a £25.00 admin charge.

If we fail to re let the room then the deposit will be retained in full. – If the cancellation occurs 48hours or less prior to the booking then the guest will be liable for the booking in full.

– Any non-arrival will mean that the guest will be liable in full for the booking.

We take all bookings in good faith, as we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival, guests are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made with Oak House, Bruton forms a legally binding contract. For this reason we advise that you take out a suitableTravel insurance policy to cover against cancellation fees.
